Celebrating “Ông Đồ” Festival

On January 26th-27th, 2021, ULIS-VNU held the “Ông Đồ” Festival at its campus.

The event was organized to promote the traditional cultural beauty of Vietnamese people, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for the University’s staff and students on the occasion of the coming Tet holiday, thereby cementing the bonds among the lecturers, staff and all learners.

Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony, President Do Tuan Minh said that “Ông Đồ” Festival took place with the desire to recreate the atmosphere of spring and traditional Tet holiday at ULIS, and at the same time spread the moral “When you eat a fruit, think of the grower”, respect the traditional cultural values for all ULISers.

At the event, many activities were held: introduction and performance of calligraphy, giving meaningful words, presenting Tet gifts to students, flute performance, poetry recitation.

The “Ông Đồ” Festival lured the engagement of many ULIS staff and students. The festival brought a very spring atmosphere, spreading many warm messages on the occasion of Tet Holiday.                                                                                                                              .
