Seminar under the national key science and technology project of the North-West Program held

On December 20th, 2018, ULIS – VNU organized a Seminar on the National Science and Technology Program of the North-West Program “Summarizing and evaluating the research on building a model to improve English and Chinese language ability for officials of Customs, Foreign Affairs, Tourism, and Border Protection and proposing the deployment of the model to the whole North-West region.

Attending the seminar were delegates from relevant units.

On the side of the ULIS, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Long, Vice President Lam Quang Dong, representatives of units, lecturers, and graduate students attended the seminar.

Delivering his remark at the seminar, Vice President Lam Quang Dong shared that thanks to close guidance and support from relevant units, local authorities so that the national key science and technology project The North-West program had completed all the tasks and objectives.

Also in the seminar, 3 papers were presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Trung – Deputy Head of the Project (Report on introducing models and programs, materials for fostering foreign language skills), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Anh – Main member of the Project (Report on experimental models in localities) and PhD. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam – Scientific Secretary of the Project (Report on proposal of the deployment of the model to the whole North-West region).

All the papers were very specific and received the interest of listening to a large number of delegates presenting in the auditorium.

After that, discussion sessions were carried out with the participation of numerous participants from the units.

Speaking at the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Vu Bang Giang said that the key national science project of the North-West Program had basically completed all major objectives. He appreciated the commitment of scientists to participate in the implementation of the topic, as well as highly appreciated the effectiveness in meeting the practical needs of localities.

Speaking at the end of the seminar, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Long shared that the completion of the national key science project in the North-West Program on time has become one of the school’s key tasks during the school year 2017-2018.
