On January 7^th, 2019, VNU had 8 students who were awarded the title “Prominent Student” and 7 students were awarded “Star of January” 2018, of whom 5 ULIS students were privileged to receive “Prominent Student” titles and 1 “Star of January” title.

The commendation ceremony is an annual event organized by the Central Association of Vietnamese Students to celebrate the traditional day of Vietnamese Students on January 9^th.

Over the past years, a lot of examples of “prominent students” have been honored to be members of the Party. They have been contributing to forming a brand new generation of Vietnamese students, who are patriotic, brave, knowledgeable, healthy, motivated, active, and confident.

At the ceremony, a total of 190 students earned the title of “Prominent Student”, 11 collectives earned the title of “Prominent Collective”, 137 officials of Youth Union and Students’ Association  earned the “Star of January”.
