Dear respectful partners,

First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincere greetings to all of you, home and overseas partners, who have accompanied the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University (ULIS – VNU) in all spheres for a long time up to now.

2021 has gone by ULIS with 10 outstanding achievements and activities of ULIS, including:

1. ULIS development strategy to 2030, vision to 2045 promulgated;
2. Dr. Do Tuan Minh and Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long re-appointed ULIS President and Vice President respectively;
3. Celebrating “Ông Đồ” Festival;
4. 1st congress of ULIS Alumni Network, tenure 2021-2026;
5. National conference UNC2021: “Researching and teaching foreign
   languages, linguistics and international studies in Vietnam” and the 5th International Graduate Research Symposium for graduate and
   doctoral students in 2021 (IGRS 2021);
6. Establishing and developing the Community Connection Network (ULIS CONNECT), the system of communities of practice (ULIS COP) and students’ innovation, research and entrepreneurship (ULIS FIRE);
7. Promoting digital transformation in teaching and learning, testing and assessment activities at all levels, and in university governance through VNU-Office software and interactive channels with learners through the ULIS NOW mobile application;
8. Developing reading culture in the student community and achieving high results in the contest to find reading culture ambassadors organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism;
9. Effectively implementing the project to support English teaching and learning in Ba Vi district’s secondary schools for the second consecutive year;
10. Finalizing the detailed construction plan of 1:500 scale of ULIS campus in Hoa Lac.
