On December 16^th, 2022, ULIS-VNU in collaboration with the Embassy of Saudi Arabia held a Celebration of International Arabic Day (on December 18^th) and the Finale of the 1^st “Arabic Rhetoric – ULIS ARABIC CUP 2022” contest.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, President Do Tuan Minh extended his thanks to Ambassador Mohammed Ismaeil A.Dahlwy and the Embassy of Saudi Arabia for coordinating with the University to organize this meaningful event.

In his speech, Mr. Mohammed Ismaeil A.Dahlwy, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Vietnam expressed his pleasure when cooperating with ULIS to launch the first Arabic speaking contest in Vietnam. “This event is the first step for the cooperation between the two sides, and the next period will witness more forms of cooperation and support in education”, said the Ambassador.

In addition, participants listened to introduction to and sharing about Saudi Arabia.

On this occasion, the University was honored to receive a grant from the Embassy of Saudi Arabia for the Arabic-Vietnamese dictionary compilation project of the Department of Arabic Language and Culture.

Following the event was the Finale of the contest “Arabic Rhetoric – ULIS ARABIC CUP 2022”.

The celebration of the International Arabic Day and the Finale of the 1^st Arabic Rhetoric Competition ended successfully, bringing many meaningful experiences to ULIS teachers and students.
