Meeting and Working with Kuban State University (Russian Federation)
On March 21, 2025, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) welcomed and worked with representatives from Kuban State University (Russian Federation).
Attending the meeting were Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology & Development Luu Manh Kien, representatives from the Faculty of Russian Language & Culture, and representatives from Kuban State University

In his opening remarks, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son stated that the Russian language has been taught at the university for a long time. However, the university is eager to explore new directions for this field of study. For this reason, ULIS hopes to collaborate with Kuban State University to establish new academic pathways and facilitate student exchange programs, allowing students to study abroad. At the same time, ULIS is also willing to welcome international students for study and cultural exchange.

In response, Sergey A. Odintsoy, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Department at Kuban State University, proposed several ideas for student exchange programs and international academic collaborations between the two institutions. Besides language studies, he highlighted commerce and international studies as promising fields for further cooperation. He also affirmed that Kuban State University would consider scholarship opportunities to provide more support for students participating in exchange programs.

Following that, the two universities engaged in an in-depth discussion to clarify details about the upcoming programs. Vera Minenkova, Head of the Faculty of Economic, Social, and Political Geography at Kuban State University, shared that the university is located in an area with a pleasant climate and a reasonable cost of living, ensuring a comfortable experience for exchange students. She also expressed her hope that the exchange students would have a meaningful and enriching learning experience in the near future.
