On December 10^th, 2018, the opening ceremony of the cooperation office between VNU the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) was held at ULIS.

Attending the ceremony were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam Konstantin Vnukov, President of FEFU Nikita Anisimov, and other representatives.

The ceremony was also attended by VNU’s President Nguyen Kim Son, Leaders of member schools.

From ULIS side, President Do Tuan Minh, Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy, leaders of units, leaders, lecturers, and students of the Faculty of Russian Language and Culture.

The cooperation office between VNU and the FEFU is located in ULIS, which is part of the cooperation between VNU and FEFU. This is the basis for the development of cooperation between the two universities in areas such as internships, dissemination of culture, student exchange. As for VNU, it will also open an office at FEFU in the near future.

What were said by all parties?

Speaking at the ceremony, VNU President Nguyen Kim Son claimed that Vietnam and Russia had many increasing cooperative activities in the field of education. He evaluated that the FEFU was a special partner based on the common objectives, structure, strategic cooperation and common interest between the two institutions.

FEFU President Nikita Anisimov hopes that the opening of the cooperation office today is just “the surface of the iceberg” with prospects for future co-operations, not limited to the language but also in other areas.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam Konstantin Vnukov said that the opening of the cooperation office between VNU and FEFU in Hanoi would help strengthen the cooperation between the two countries and expand Russian in Vietnam.

President Do Tuan Minh affirmed that the University would make every effort to help the office become a familiar place with the member universities, faculties and research institutes of VNU’s.

After the meeting, VNU president Nguyen Kim Son, FEFU’s President Nikita Anisimov, and President Do Tuan Minh cut the ribbon to officially openthe cooperation office between VNU and FEFU located at 4th floor, A1 Building, ULIS.
