On October 15th, 2019, Center for Information Technology – Communication & Learning Resources – ULIS – VNU organized a seminar to introduce the book “Mountains Beyond Mountains: A Memoir of Vietnam, Cancer and Meaningful Work” of author Diana Dudzik.

The seminar was attended by Director of the Center for Information Technology – Communication & Learning Resources Khoa Anh Viet, Deputy Director of the Center Duong Khanh Linh, Deputy Director of General Administration Office Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, author of the book Diana Dudzik, staff of the Center, faculty members and students.

At the beginning of the seminar, Deputy Director of Information Technology – Communication & Learning Resources Duong Khanh Linh shared information about the purpose of the seminar and introduced the author and the book Mountains Beyond Mountains: A Memoir of Vietnam, Cancer and Meaningful Work.

Subsequently, author Diana Dudzik shared her inspirational story about her life.

The book “Mountains beyond mountains” is a very personal story about career development, multicultural understanding and the loss associated with cancer. Most important is the story of the love of a good husband for his wife; love from family, friends and colleagues; and a lasting love for Vietnam.

During the seminar, the students asked many questions and expressed their sympathy to the author. All were inspired to learn and strive after listening to the author’s story.

At the end of the program, the author signed books for delegates and students. All proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to support the teacher scholarship fund of VietTESOL and cancer patients.
