The opening ceremony of the undergraduate international partnership training program in 2017-2018 school year

On September 25th 2017, University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) held the opening ceremony in 2017-2018 school year and commended excellent students of the undergraduate international partnership training program.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Do Tuan Minh – ULIS’s President, Mr. Kijung Han – Director of Institute of International Training (Kookmin University), Dr. Hoa Ngoc Son – Dean of Faculty for Language Education and Professional Development, and representatives of units in the university. In addition, all QH.2017 freshmen of the undergraduate international partnership training program took part in this event.


Delivering his opening remark, Dr. Do Tuan Minh extended his congratulation to all freshmen. He stated that the undergraduate international partnership training program had gained a lot of great achievements and been highly rated by society during the past years. Dr. Do Tuan Minh wished all the newbies to study hard to satisfy their families, friends and teachers and believed that the university could be proud of them on their way to affirm themselves in the future.

In the school year 2017-2018, ULIS recruited 105 students to study the international partnership programs with universities such as Southern New Hampshire (the United States), Picardie Jules Verne (France), Chaoyang and Hunan (China) and Kookmin (South Korea). After finishing their language training program, they can study abroad or continue to study at their school.

The opening ceremony was also organized to commend and award excellent students. Accordingly, ULIS awarded future start-up scholarships for 4 new students of QH.2017 cohort. Students who have outstanding academic and training results in the school year of 2016-2017 were also honored, including one student of excellence, 3 students with excellent academic achievement, 3 students with good academic achievement and 3 students with excellent training results.


The ceremony ended in the exciting atmosphere to welcom the new school year of the new QH.2017 students choosing the undergraduate international partnership training program.
