ULIS Joins Vietnam National University, Hanoi Delegation at the Vietnam–China Forum on “Higher Education, Science and Technology, and Innovation Cooperation”

On April 14, 2026, within the framework of the state visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam, the Forum on “Cooperation in Higher Education, Science and Technology, and Innovation” co-organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Tsinghua University was held in Beijing. The event was one of the key activities aimed at promoting cooperation in education, research, and innovation between the two countries.

The Forum took place in the context of increasingly strengthened and dynamic Vietnam–China relations, with higher education, science and technology, and innovation identified as priority areas of cooperation in the new phase. In his speech at Tsinghua University, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized the importance of building on the foundation of traditional cooperation while enhancing connectivity in knowledge, technology, and high-quality human resources between the two nations.

As part of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi delegation attending the Forum, the University of Languages and International Studies was represented by Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, Nguyen Thi Minh. At the event, ULIS staff also directly participated in interpretation and translation tasks, contributing to effective communication and academic exchange among participants.

Participation in the Forum not only demonstrates the role and responsibility of the University of Languages and International Studies in the international relations and cooperation activities of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, but also affirms the University’s strengths in training high-quality foreign language human resources, particularly in Chinese. It also serves as evidence of the professional capacity and meaningful contributions of ULIS staff and lecturers in large-scale international cooperation activities.

Through the Forum, numerous directions for cooperation in training, research, and innovation among higher education institutions of the two countries have been further opened, creating opportunities for the University of Languages and International Studies to strengthen connections, expand partnerships, and enhance its role as a bridge for language and cultural exchange in the context of deep international integration.
