Opening Ceremony for the 2026 QH.2026.F.2 Undergraduate Continuing Education Program – Second Intake

On the evening of September 18, 2026, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU), held the opening ceremony of the undergraduate program (in-service training), course QH.2026.F.2, phase 2 of 2026, for 628 new students in the two majors of English Language and Chinese Language, in an online format via the Zoom Meeting platform.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh – Vice President of the University, along with representatives from the leadership of faculties and offices; management staff, lecturers, and a large number of new students of course QH.2026.F.2.

The program began with delegates and students watching a music video introducing ULIS. After the flag salute ceremony, the announcement of the event's purpose, and the introduction of delegates, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Lan – Head of the Office of Training and Learner Affairs – announced the Decision recognizing candidates admitted to the second bachelor's degree program (Second Degree) for phase 2 of 2026.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh extended her congratulations to the new students who had officially joined the ULIS family. The Vice President shared that although the ceremony was held online, both teachers and students still felt a complete sense of connection and presence. The opening ceremony marked a new journey, where each student would gradually achieve their own goals.

Emphasizing the role of technology in helping learners access knowledge more conveniently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh also shared that each language represents a culture; therefore, starting the course is also an opportunity for students to explore new knowledge and cultural beauty. The Vice President expressed her wish that the new students would always maintain their passion, enthusiasm, and spirit of learning throughout the course.

On behalf of the new students, new student Kieu Xuan Binh gave a speech, expressing his joy at being able to study at ULIS and his determination to make every effort to successfully complete the course.

Continuing the program, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Hoa – Deputy Head of the Office of Training and Learner Affairs – introduced essential information about the training program, facilities, study duration, and tuition roadmap, along with benefits for learners such as student ID cards, graduation records, and awards for outstanding achievements. The new students were also provided with information about their VNU accounts, the Portal system, notes for the first week of study, and the submission of hard-copy documents.

In addition, Mr. Le Quoc Quan from the Office of Resource Management guided students on lectures and course classes on the LMS system. Ms. Phan Hong Hanh – a VNU-LIC staff member and specialist from the Communications Office – introduced how to make use of learning resources for the study process.

At the end of the program, students were divided into two Zoom rooms by major. The English room was led by Dr. Lai Thi Phuong Thao, and the Chinese room was led by Dr. Ngo Minh Nguyet. There, students were given detailed information about the course plan, learning materials, and textbooks; they were also guided on foreign language learning methods as well as content related to the assessment and evaluation of course modules.

The opening ceremony concluded in an excited atmosphere, marking the beginning of the learning journey for 628 new students of course QH.2026.F.2 at the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi. With the information and guidance provided right from the start of the course, the students are now better equipped to take charge of their studies, practice, and strive for good results in the coming time.
