On September 16, 2026, at the China Cultural Center in Hanoi, a delegation of students from the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, led by Dr. Ngo Minh Nguyet, Vice Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Nguyen Ha Thu, Secretary of the Faculty’s Youth Union branch, participated in a Chinese cultural experience programme themed “Under One Roof, Beneath the Same Moon” in celebration of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, the China Cultural Center in Hanoi organized the cultural experience programme “Under One Roof, Beneath the Same Moon.” The event served as a bridge connecting lecturers and students of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, allowing them to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere, participate in a wide range of meaningful cultural exchange activities, and further strengthen the friendship and cultural ties between Vietnam and China.

At the outdoor event area, students had the opportunity to take part in a series of hands-on DIY activities inspired by traditional Mid-Autumn customs. Participants made traditional herbal sachets by hand, filling them with delicate, soothing fragrances, and created mooncakes in a variety of distinctive shapes and flavors. One of the highlights of the programme was the Hanfu showcase, where students dressed in elegant traditional Chinese attire, recreating an enchanting atmosphere inspired by ancient Chinese culture.
Inside the exhibition space, students participated in tea-tasting sessions, sampled mooncakes, and joined lively cultural quizzes featuring exciting prizes.

The festive atmosphere reached its peak with a vibrant programme of performances and cultural exchanges presented by young participants themselves. The dance performance “Mid-Autumn Moon” energized the stage with its youthful and contemporary choreography. Meanwhile, the graceful and delicate movements in the traditional dance “Yan Wu Xie” captivated the audience, while the song “Guan Shan Jiu” filled the venue with its melodious and evocative tunes, immersing the audience in a serene musical atmosphere.

The “Under One Roof, Beneath the Same Moon” cultural experience programme once again highlighted the commitment of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, as well as ULIS and VNU, to providing students with a well-rounded education. Beyond its strengths in academic learning and in-depth language research, the university places strong emphasis on creating opportunities for students to practise their language skills and engage in diverse cultural exchanges.
Such hands-on extracurricular activities provide ULIS students with valuable opportunities to develop comprehensively, build confidence in cross-cultural communication, and prepare themselves to become effective cultural ambassadors and bridges between Vietnam and the wider world in the future.
