On 22 August 2026, the Northern Regional Semifinals of the 2026 National Korean Speech Contest - Korean Ambassador's Cup took place at the Hanoi Korean School, bringing together contestants from various institutions offering Korean language education and training.
At the competition, the contestants demonstrated their Korean language proficiency, confidence, and stage presence through carefully prepared presentations. Each performance not only showcased their linguistic abilities but also reflected their passion for the Korean language and Korean culture.
Notably, three representatives from the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, won First Prize in all three competition categories, including:
- General Education Category (lower and upper secondary): Vu Thao My, Class 12H - First Prize;
- Non-major Category (King Sejong Institute): Doan Nguyen Phuong Linh - First Prize;
- Korean Major Category (college/university): Nguyen Khanh Chi - First Prize.
These achievements are the result of the contestants' thorough preparation, persistent practice, and strong passion for the Korean language. Winning First Prize in all three categories further demonstrates the quality of Korean language education and training at the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The success at the Northern Regional Semifinals will serve as a source of motivation for the ULIS representatives to continue developing their abilities, maintaining their confidence, and delivering their best performances in the upcoming rounds of the 2026 National Korean Speech Contest – Korean Ambassador's Cup.
