On 5 September 2026, the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held the Opening Ceremony for the 2026–2027 Academic Year in an online format, welcoming nearly 3,000 QH.2026 students from regular and international joint programmes, along with lecturers, staff, mentors, and representatives of students from previous cohorts.

As part of the ceremony, ULIS joined the nationwide live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony for the 2026 - 2027 Academic Year and the Inauguration of Boarding Schools in Border Areas, creating an opportunity for students and educational institutions across the country to participate in the flag - raising and National Anthem ceremony together. The programme also highlighted the role of education in expanding learning opportunities and promoting development in disadvantaged areas.

At the ULIS ceremony, the University officially welcomed the QH.2026.F1 cohort and honoured 17 valedictorians from its undergraduate programmes. Representing the new students, Tran Nhat Anh expressed pride in becoming part of the ULIS community. Dr. Do Tuan Minh, Rector of ULIS, affirmed the university's commitment to building a humane, creative, and internationally oriented learning environment, encouraging students to develop the knowledge, adaptability, confidence, and sense of responsibility needed for their future journeys.

The ceremony concluded with memorable moments shared by lecturers and students. At the same time, the School of Foreign Languages and the Foreign Language Specialized School, both under ULIS, also held their opening ceremonies for the new academic year on campus.
