More than 2,000 students from the QH.2025 cohort of ULIS participated in National Defense and Security Training and Physical Education courses in Hoa Lac.
On March 22nd, 2026, 2555 students of the QH.2025 cohort of University of Languages and International Studies officially joined in Defense and Security Training and Physical Education courses in Hoa Lac.
Immediately after assembly, students followed their instructors’ guidance to move to the National Defense and Security Training Center. According to the plan, the study and training program will take place from March 22nd to April 27th, 202
Throughout the five-week course, students will be trained in a disciplined, military-style environment, with obviously regulated routines, study schedules, and demeanor. In addition, they will take part in numerous physical and extracurricular activities with an aim of enhancing self-discipline, proactiveness, and overall well-being, thereby supporting effective learning and gradually holistic personal development.
Beside the major curriculum, the course also brings about a series of engaging activities, including Hola Daily News, the ULIS Soldier competition, Connection Day, a gift program from the “Home Front,” and a gala campfire night, etc., contributing to a diverse and memorable experience for students.
The University will closely coordinate with the VNU National Defense and Security Training Center and relevant units to ensure the course is conducted safely and effectively. At the same time, it will regularly monitor students’ study and daily activities in order to provide timely support when needed.
Subsequently, on the morning of March 23rd, 2026, the opening ceremony for the combined National Defense and Security Training and Physical Education course for QH.2025 students of the University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was successfully held at the VNU National Defense and Security Training Center in Hòa Lạc.

The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Ha Le Kim Anh, Vice Rector of ULIS – VNU; Mr Duong Van Chien, Vice Director of the VNU National Defense and Security Training Center; and Mr Trinh Kien, Vice Director of the VNU Physical Education and Sports Center


The ceremony marked the beginning of a distinctive training journey, where students are not only equipped with fundamental knowledge of national defense and security, but also gradually develop discipline, a strong sense of responsibility, and civic awareness toward the nation.
