The Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Academic Year at King Sejong Institute Hanoi 2
On March 26, 2026, at Homies A2, King Sejong Institute Hanoi 2, Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 academic year was solemnly held.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Tran Thi Huong – Head of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture and Head of the Steering Committee of King Sejong Institute Hanoi 2; Dr. Nguyen Thuy Duong – Director of King Sejong Institute Hanoi 2 and Vice Head of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture; dispatched instructors from the King Sejong Foundation of Korea; as well as lecturers and students of the Institute.



The event began with vibrant cultural performances showcasing both Vietnamese and Korean traditions. These youthful and energetic performances quickly enlivened the atmosphere and spread excitement among all participants. In her speech, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Director of King Sejong Institute Hanoi 2, stated that in the 2025 academic year, the Institute successfully implemented a wide range of training activities with remarkable results. Specifically, the Institute organized 50 courses, attracting nearly 800 learners, and conducted final examinations, awarding certificates of completion to 490 students.




In addition, the Institute expanded specialized training programs, notably courses designed for personnel in the Information Technology sector, focusing on enhancing Korean listening and speaking skills as well as cultural integration. These programs attracted participants from more than 20 companies in the technology and finance sectors, such as FPT Software, LG, Bravo, and Lotte.
Notably, the Institute also launched a fully funded one-on-one telephone-based communication course to improve learners’ listening and speaking skills. Sponsored by the King Sejong Foundation, the program had 30 learners successfully complete the course.
Furthermore, the Institute organized introductory Korean language courses for staff, lecturers, and their families at ULIS, contributing to the promotion of Korean language and culture within the internal community.
A highlight of the ceremony was the lucky draw activity, which brought moments of surprise and laughter while strengthening connections among learners.

At the end of the ceremony, delegates, lecturers, and students took commemorative photos together, capturing memorable moments in a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere.


The Opening Ceremony of the 2026 academic year at King Sejong Institute Hanoi 2 concluded successfully, marking the beginning of a promising new academic year filled with learning opportunities and enriching experiences for those passionate about the Korean language.
