On July 7, 2026, the People's Police Academy hosted the Opening Ceremony of the A1-level Russian pre-departure language training course for cadets preparing to pursue further studies in the Russian Federation.

The ceremony was attended by Major General, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thiết, Vice Director of the People's Police Academy; representatives of the Department of Training under the Ministry of Public Security; leaders of the Academy's functional units; and all cadets enrolled in the course.

Representing the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hà Lê Kim Anh, Vice Rector of the University, together with representatives from the Office of Academic Affairs and Student Services and the Faculty of Russian Language and Culture.

In his opening remarks, Major General, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thiết emphasized the importance of equipping cadets with Russian language proficiency before they begin their studies abroad. He expressed his expectation that all participants would demonstrate dedication and discipline throughout the course, thereby building a solid linguistic foundation for their academic pursuits and future professional responsibilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hà Lê Kim Anh expressed her honor that ULIS, VNU continues to accompany the People's Police Academy in providing Russian language training for cadets prior to their overseas studies. She affirmed that, with the University's extensive experience in foreign language education and its highly qualified teaching staff, ULIS would work closely with the People's Police Academy to deliver a comprehensive and effective training program. The course is designed to help learners develop a strong command of basic Russian before entering an international academic environment. She also wished all cadets perseverance, academic success, and outstanding achievements throughout the course and in their future studies abroad.

The A1-level Russian pre-departure language training course aims to equip cadets with fundamental linguistic knowledge and practical communication skills, enabling them to adapt more easily to academic, research, and daily life in an international environment. The program serves as an essential preparatory step, ensuring that participants possess the language competence required to meet the demands of their overseas training.

The continued collaboration between ULIS, VNU and the People's Police Academy in organizing this Russian language training course not only highlights the University's strengths in foreign language education but also further strengthens the partnership between the two institutions in developing high-quality human resources capable of meeting the demands of international integration and sustainable development.
