Vietnamese language and culture courses for foreigners

University of Languages and International Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS, VNU), is pleased to announce the enrollment of Vietnamese Language Courses and Vietnamese Cultural Experience Programs for foreigners and overseas Vietnamese.
Designed to meet the growing demand for learning Vietnamese and exploring Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage, the programs offer comprehensive training from beginner to advanced proficiency levels (A1–C2). In addition to language instruction, learners can participate in thematic courses (Vietnamese by themes: Culture – History and Vietnam’s Economy – Society) focusing on Vietnamese culture, history, economy, and society, providing both academic knowledge and practical cultural insights.
Courses are organized in small classes (approximately 10 learners per class) to ensure personalized instruction and effective learning outcomes. Classes are held from Monday to Friday at ULIS, VNU, Hanoi, with flexible course durations ranging from 3 to 12 months.
Learners will receive:

With a supportive academic environment and comprehensive student services, ULIS is committed to providing international learners with a meaningful and immersive Vietnamese language and cultural experience in Vietnam
Required application documents: Application form (with a 3x4 photo attached), copy of passport, valid visa (if any), high school diploma / bachelor’s degree certificate, health certificate, international health insurance, commitment letter confirming attendance of at least 80% of class sessions, bank statement showing a minimum balance of over USD 5,000, temporary residence confirmation (after entering Vietnam).
