On May 24^th, 2019, ULIS-VNU held a ceremony to hand over its students to VNU-National Defense and Security Training Center to attend the National Defense and Security Education Program in the summer of 2019.

According to the plan, 1,465 ULIS QH.2018 students participated in the program this summer in Hoa Lac from May 24^th, 2019 to June 16^th, 2019.

After finishing their study in a truly military manner, the students would gain basic knowledge about the Party’s points of view, policies and laws of the State on national defense and security; on building up security and defense by and for all people as well as developing the people’s armed forces. They would also be supplemented with knowledge of civil defense and military skills; and be ready to perform military services and police obligations to protect the country.

The handover ceremony was attended by Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Politics & Student Affairs Office Nguyen Van Doan, representatives of different units. On the side of VNU-National Defense and Security Training Center, Deputy Director – Colonel Dinh Van Huong and many teachers attended the ceremony.

Delivering her speech at the ceremony, Vice President Ngo Minh Thuy appreciated the importance of the program and hoped that the students would have more meaningful experiences during their time at Hoa Lac.

Colonel Dinh Van Huong affirmed that the Center would create the best conditions for all the students to learn and experience the true meaning of national defense and security education.
