Under the theme “Students with sustainable development”, all 5 Northern regional final teams competed and contributed outstanding, creative, and highly artistic performances in which the performance of the team from the Hanoi Medical University was the most prominent and convincing to receive the judges and the audiences’ approval and reception of the first Prize.

On October 18^th, 2019, ULIS-VNU organized the English Olympiad for English major students: The Final – Northern Showdown – “E4US 2019” with the participation of 5 teams from Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi University of Business and Technology, Academy of Journalism & Communication, Hanoi University of Natural Resources & Enviroment and Military Science Academy.

The event was attended by a lot of distinguished guests and representatives from the Central Youth Union, VNU’s Youth Union, Hanoi Student Association, VNU student Association, Management Board of the foreign language Project.

From the ULIS side, Vice President Lam Quang Dong, Head of the  organizing Board and representatives from ULIS’s units attended the event.

Particularly, there were members of the 5 teams participating at the contest.

Delivering his remark at the contest, Vice President Lam Quang Dong – Head of the Organizing Board of the Contest shared about the History of ULIS-VNU through the training of high quality human resources and standardized services and products provided by the University.

Vice President expressed his pleasure and honor when the ULIS-VNU was entrusted with the task of hosting the E4US 2019.

After that, all 5 teams entered the greeting section, the knowledge section and the debate round.

With the great stamina and talent of the members, the team from the Hanoi Medical University excelled over the other teams to be named as the team who won the first Prize.

In addition to the first Prize for Hanoi Medical University, the other teams also won the following prizes:

–       Second Prize: Hanoi University of Natural Resources & Enviroment

–       Third Prize: Academy of Journalism & Communication

–       Consolation Prize: Hanoi University of Business & Technology and Military Science Academy.

Thus, according to this result Hanoi Medical University,  Hanoi University of Natural Resources & Enviroment and Academy of Journalism & Communication will represent the North region to compete in the national final contest.
