ULISers express their love to Hanoi via paintings
On October 10th, 2024, ULIS-VNU held the exhibition named “ULIS: Fall in Love” in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day. This event introduced the paintings of students studying Visual Thinking course and students studying at UMS-VNU with the topic “Hanoi capital – the beauty of thousand-year civilization”.
Opening the program, Vice President Ha Le Kim Anh appreciated the paintings of students with carefulness and diligence. Assoc. Prof. PhD. Ha Le Kim Anh hoped that students would foster their love and pride in Hanoi culture and the country as well through this exhibition.
Delivering her speech to the exhibition, MA. Pham Hoang Long Bien briefly introduced the Visual Thinking Course and its educational values for students. “Visual Thinking is an educational and psychological course that focuses on how people realize, handle and create pictures in their mind. Drawing competition to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day is an opportunity for students to enhance thinking, develop creativity and express emotion via their paintings.” MA. Pham Hoang Long Bien shared.
During this exhibition, MA. Nguyen Huyen Trang affirmed that the “Fall in Love” exhibition was a great opportunity to honor the beauty of the culture and history of Hanoi. From there, it created unforgettable memories and aroused the love of art in students.
About 100 paintings of students from UMS-VNU along with 30 paintings of students studying Visual Thinking course were displayed in the exhibition. “ULIS: Fall in Love” exhibition was a precious opportunity for students to explore the beauty of Vietnamese culture and raise awareness of preserving national culture.
