ULIS Honors Egyptian Ambassador Amal Salama for Contributions to the University
On June 19th, 2025, ULIS – VNU held a meeting and expressed gratitude for H.E. Amal Salama, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Vietnam, in recognition of meaningful contributions to the university in recent years.

The meeting was attended by the Principal Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long, along with representatives from the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, the Office of Research and Partnerships, and the Faculty of Arabic Language and Culture.


During the event, Principal Nguyen Xuan Long and Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Van Head of the Faculty of Arabic Language and Culture, presented Ambassador Salama with a certificate of appreciation and a gift on behalf of the university as the Ambassador’s and the Embassy’s strong support, particularly in areas such as student exchange, scholarships, and the provision of Arabic learning materials.
Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long expressed a deep appreciation for the Egyptian Embassy’s support. He conveyed his hope that the Embassy would continue to serve as a bridge for future collaborations between ULIS and universities in the Arab world.

In response, Ambassador Amal Salama praised the university’s efforts in promoting Arabic language and culture in Vietnam. She reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening cooperation and supporting further initiatives that foster academic exchange and mutual understanding. The Ambassador also expressed her appreciation for the university’s efforts in welcoming experts and lecturers from Arab countries to teach and work at ULIS.

The meeting concluded with a photo session, marking a promising step forward in continued and meaningful collaboration.
