On the evening of November 7, 2025, at Square A1, University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), the 70th Anniversary Music Gala “Proud Melodies” took place in a majestic and vibrant atmosphere. The program served as a special highlight in the series of activities commemorating the University’s 70th Anniversary (1955–2025).

Delivering the opening address, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Long, ULIS President, emphasized the profound significance of the event, marking the culmination of the 70-year journey and the upcoming reception of the First-Class Labour Order. The program commenced with the Honor Ceremony for 70 staff members and 70 exemplary students/pupils receiving the “For the Development of ULIS” Commemorative Medal. Other opening activities included the awarding of the “Green Dream” scholarships and a successful charity drive for Central Vietnam flood relief, raising over 140 million VND.

The musical segment, featuring 16 contest performances and powerful guest appearances from the People’s Police Academy and the Political Officers School, celebrated patriotism and pride in ULIS. The gala reached a climax with the dynamic performance of guest artist Rhymastic, who shared: “70 years is an extremely remarkable and proud number for a prestigious institution like the University of Languages and International Studies. And it is a great honor for Rhymastic to be here performing for everyone tonight. My only wish is that everyone studies well, creates many beautiful memories with this University, and always holds dear all the interest, love, and memories you have with this school. The lifespan of those memories will last, existing throughout your life, surpassing even the number 70, perhaps reaching 100 and even thousands.”

The evening concluded with the presentation of awards after a diligent assessment by the judging panel. The official results of the competition are as follows:

• First Prize: Mashup Duong len phia truoc, Me yeu con, Mot vong Viet Nam – Faculty of International Education and alumni/teachers.

• Second Prizes: Cay quan ngua – Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture Alumni; and Di giua troi ruc ro – Faculty of English Language and Culture.
• Third Prizes: Viet Nam trong toi la – Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture; Mashup Doan ve quoc quan, Bac van cung chung chau hanh quan, Nha toi co treo mot la co – Office of Party and Mass Organizations; and Kiep sau van la nguoi Viet Nam – Faculty of Arabic Language and Culture.
• Consolation Prizes: Mashup Bui phan, Nguoi thay, Mong uoc ky niem xua – Office of Training & Learners and Quality Management; Ca ngoi To Quoc – Foreign Language Specialized School; and Hello Viet Nam, Beo dat may troi – AC4U Art Club.

Supplementary awards were also presented to recognize the creativity, team spirit, and artistic passion of the participating groups. The event successfully affirmed ULIS’s position as a vibrant, reputable institution ready to contribute actively to national development in the new era.
