On December 22, 2025, at Sunwah Hall, ULIS held the KEB Hana Scholarship Award Ceremony 2025, sponsored by KEB Hana Bank (Republic of Korea), for students of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of ULIS were Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son; representatives of the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, the Office of Research and Partnerships; the Board of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture; and students who received the scholarships.

Representing KEB Hana Bank – Hanoi Branch were Mr. Cho Han Kyu, General Director of KEB Hana Bank Hanoi; Ms. Nguyen Quynh Ngoc, Head of the Credit Department; and Ms. Nguyen Minh Ngoc, Head of the Administration and Human Resources Department.

Thanks to the positive development of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea, Korean language and culture education in Viet Nam has received increasing attention and strong support from Korean organizations and enterprises. The Financial Sharing Foundation of KEB Hana Bank stands as a prominent example of this spirit of cooperation. Over the years, the Foundation has implemented numerous welfare programs, scholarships, and financial support initiatives for Vietnamese students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate perseverance and outstanding academic achievement. In this awarding round, 25 outstanding ULIS students were honored with the KEB Hana Scholarship.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son expressed his sincere gratitude to the KEB Hana Bank Scholarship Foundation for its meaningful and practical contributions to Korean language education at ULIS over the years. He emphasized that the Foundation’s support not only provides financial assistance but also serves as a significant source of encouragement, helping students enhance their learning conditions and motivation. Moreover, this activity contributes to strengthening the cooperative partnership between KEB Hana Bank and ULIS, as well as further consolidating the friendly relations between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea.

Mr. Cho Han Kyu, General Director of KEB Hana Bank Hanoi Branch, congratulated the scholarship recipients and expressed his hope that the scholarships would help create better learning conditions, enabling students to nurture their dreams and build a bright future. He also voiced his confidence that the students would become key contributors and serve as a sustainable bridge for future cooperation between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea.

During the ceremony, Mr. Cho Han Kyu, representing the KEB Hana Bank Scholarship Foundation, personally awarded the scholarships to the students. On this occasion, Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son presented commemorative gifts and a letter of appreciation from the University to the representatives of KEB Hana Bank as a token of gratitude for their valuable support.

On behalf of the scholarship recipients, student Nguyen Hoang Dieu Vy expressed her heartfelt thanks to KEB Hana Bank and ULIS for their care, companionship, and support. She shared that the scholarship is not only a great honor but also a strong source of motivation, encouraging her and fellow students to continue striving and persevering in pursuit of their academic goals.
