On December 27^th, 2019, ULIS-VNU held a meeting with the delegation of Savannakhet University (Lao PDR) led by President Soulihong Xaykosy.

The meeting was attended by President Do Tuan Minh, Director of the Cooperation & Development Office Do Minh Hoang, Head of Division of Southeast Asian Languages & Cultures Nguyen Thi Van Chi and the Division’s lecturers.

At the meeting, representatives of the two universities exchanged opportunities for cooperation in the fields such as training, student exchange, lecturer exchange, research and so on. President Do Tuan Minh said that ULIS hoped to receive the support and help from Savannakhet University to expand Laotian language & culture training program at the University.

The President of Savannakhet University – Mr. Soulihong Xaykosy thanked and expressed his agreement to President Do Tuan Minh’s proposal. He hoped that the two sides would deploy many practical cooperation activities in coming time.

On this occasion, the two universities also signed a document on supporting Savannakhet lecturers to study and practice at ULIS in the near future.
