President Do Tuan Minh: “all of the heritage left by previous generations will be preserved carefully for good. The University will try its best to better it”
That is a message which President Do Tuan Minh shared to retired lecturers and staff of ULIS’s former lecturer and staff Association.
On October 22nd, 2018, ULIS-VNU held a meeting with Management Board of ULIS’s former lecturer and staff Association.
The meeting was attended by ULIS’s President Do Tuan Minh, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Long, Heads of different units, and particularly members of ULIS’s former lecturer and staff Association.
Delivering his welcome speech, President Do Tuan Minh wished all of the members of the Association good health.
He states that: “the meeting is an annual activity from which reports on the results of the previous year and the missions of this current academic year will be informed to members of ULIS’s former lecturer and staff Association. Besides, the University hopes to hear from the members of the Association about the development and activities of the Association.”
President also sent verbal invitations to members of ULIS’s former lecturer and staff Association to participate in the 40 years’ anniversary of the establishment of In-service Faculty on November 3rd, 2018; 60 years’ anniversary of the establishment of English Faculty on November 18th, 2018; and the celebration of Vietnamese Teacher’s day on November 20th, 2018.
After the reports delivered by Heads of the Units, President Do Tuan Minh kept all the members of the Association informed of 10 prominent achievements of the University in the past academic year as well as missions of this academic year.
He says: “improving the happiness and satisfaction index amongst the University’s staff and students will be taken a good care.”

Sharing at the meeting, Chairman of the ULIS Former Faculty and Staff Association said: “in recent years, the number of members of the Association has been growing from over 200 people to 456 people currently. The Management Board regularly organizes trips, birthday celebrations, and Tet Holiday’s gathering to tighten the bond across the Association.”
According to him, the Association will organize a conference under the theme: “25 years side-by-side with the establishment of Vietnam National University, Hanoi” in which members of the Association will be delivering 2 reports.
The President and Other members of the Association all expressed great happiness towards all of the achievements of the University in recent time.
