On August 6^th, 2020, ULIS – VNU held an online seminar on “FLAD needs of state officials and civil servants”.

The seminar is an activity within the task of surveying the current situation of and needs for fostering foreign languages for administrative purposes (abbreviated as FLAD) of state officials and civil servants, assigned to ULIS – VNU by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The activity is aimed at getting experts’ reflections.

Delivering his opening remarks, President Do Tuan Minh said that ULIS – VNU had been always aware that this was an important, practical and long-term task in response to  the expectations and job requirements of the majority of state officials and civil servants in the country.

At the seminar, two reports were presented, followed by constructive comments, exchanges and discussions.

With the participation of more than 80 delegates, the seminar on “FLAD needs of state officials and civil servants” came to a successful end. The experts acknowledged comments and feedbacks from the participants, which would serve as a foundation for amendments and supplements to the plan in the upcoming time.
