On April 3^rd, 2019, ULIS – VNU held a seminar on the orientations of its research programs in the period of 2019–2025.

The seminar was attended by VNU Director Nguyen Kim Son, Deputy Head of VNU Department of Science and Technology Pham Duc Anh, Vice President of the University of Technology Pham Bao Son, ULIS President Do Tuan Minh, Vice President Lam Quang Dong, Vice President Nguyen Xuan Long and leaders of departments.

5 papers were presented at the seminar, including the orientations of research programs at ULIS-VNU in the period of 2019–2025 by President Do Tuan Minh. The paper pointed out that the goal of ULIS was to become a prestigious research-oriented university in the region.

After the presentations was a discussion with highly constructive comments from representatives of the departments.

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Head of VNU Department of Science and Technology Pham Duc Anh affirmed that ULIS should focus on scientific research to develop its potential.

At the seminar, VNU President Nguyen Kim Son agreed with the orientations of ULIS. He also suggested that the University pay more attention to the orientations of research and development of many international-level scientific products.
