On April 6^th, 2024, ULIS-VNU celebrated “Thai – Laos New Year 2024” to create opportunities for students to explore and experience the unique culture of the traditional New Year holidays of Thailand and Laos.

Delivering her speech at the event, Vice President Ha Le Kim Anh said that activities like this to promote culture and language were necessary so that students could learn, explore, and love Thai and Lao languages more.

Head of the Department of Southeast Asian Languages and Cultures Nguyen Thi Van Chi shared that the event not only helped promote the Department’s teaching activities but also created opportunities for students to experience unique and new cultural features.

At the event, many activities were organized, such as a performance of traditional Thai and Lao costumes. After that, all participants experienced other interesting rituals and activities.
