On February 23, 2026, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi organized a meeting with representatives of the Vietnamese overseas community in France to exchange ideas and promote cooperation opportunities between the University and the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in France in implementing a Vietnamese language dissemination program for overseas Vietnamese communities.

Attending the meeting, on the side of the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in France were trainee teachers participating in the Vietnamese language teaching program for children of overseas Vietnamese in France. On the side of the University of Languages and International Studies were Dr. Do Tuan Minh, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Trung, along with representatives of the university’s leadership, lecturers, and staff.

At the meeting, representatives of the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in France shared about the spirit of solidarity and the close bonds of the Vietnamese community around the world, considering it a valuable source of strength contributing to building the country’s future. The association’s representatives emphasized that the Vietnamese language dissemination program for overseas Vietnamese in France is a project of long-term significance. Although facing many difficulties in its initial stage, the program has gradually achieved positive results with the establishment of three online classes, attracting the participation of a large number of learners who are children of Vietnamese people.

Following that, Dr. Do Tuan Minh highly appreciated the persistent efforts of the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association in France in bringing the community together, preserving and spreading the nation’s cultural heritage, while strengthening connections among generations of Vietnamese people as well as between the Vietnamese community and French friends through teaching and cultural exchange activities.

The meeting took place in a vibrant early spring atmosphere, filled with good wishes, warm handshakes, and confidence in a promising new year, opening up prospects for practical cooperation aimed at spreading the Vietnamese language and cultural identity to the Vietnamese overseas community in France.
