ULIS Book Fair 2026 Brings Vibrancy to Campus Reading Culture

From May 5 to May 7, 2026, VNU University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS) successfully organized the ULIS Book Fair 2026, attracting great interest and participation from a large number of staff members, lecturers, and students across the university. Held annually, the event aims to promote reading culture and foster a knowledge-rich learning environment within the ULIS community.

By joining the event, ULISers had the opportunity to experience a wide range of engaging activities, including book exchanges and free book giveaways, an artistic book arrangement competition, prize-winning mini games, as well as a seminar and the launch of the Reading Culture Ambassador 2026 competition. Through these activities, the program inspired a love for reading and encouraged proactive learning habits among students.

This year’s book fair also featured a special book sale area with attractive discounts and a diverse collection of books in fields such as foreign languages, culture, education, and life skills. Participating publishers and companies included Quang Van Publishing and Education Joint Stock Company, KBS Vietnam Trading & Services Investment Co., Ltd., Bach Viet Books Joint Stock Company, and Thai Ha Books Joint Stock Company.

The event created opportunities for visitors to explore new reading trends, connect with publishing organizations, and take part in various interactive activities. In doing so, it further inspired reading enthusiasm and contributed to building sustainable reading habits within the university community.

One of the highlights of this year’s ULIS Book Fair was the artistic book arrangement competition, which received enthusiastic participation from attendees. Through creative and meaningful entries presented by outstanding student groups, centered around the 136th birth anniversary of Ho Chi Minh, participants not only impressed viewers with unique and innovative book structures but also expressed gratitude to previous generations while spreading the value of reading culture. The competition emphasized the importance of reading as an essential part of both academic development and personal growth.

Sharing her thoughts at the event, Tran Phuong Linh, a student from the Faculty of English Language and Culture, said: “The Book Fair is not only a place to discover many interesting books but also a source of learning inspiration. Reading feels much more approachable and enjoyable when participating in activities like these.”

Meanwhile, a student from the Faculty of German Language and Culture also commented: “Programs such as the Book Fair play a significant role in nurturing reading habits – a fundamental factor in developing students’ critical thinking and academic abilities.”

ULIS Book Fair 2026 left many positive impressions and also marked the beginning of a series of upcoming activities aimed at spreading reading culture throughout the university this year. The event once again demonstrated ULIS’s continuous efforts to build a modern educational environment where knowledge and reading culture are valued and sustainably developed.
