On March 21, 2026, the University of Languages and International Studies – VNU, Hanoi (ULIS-VNU) held the closing ceremony of the 2026 Chinese Language Teacher Training Course in Vietnam. The event took place in a solemn atmosphere with the participation of 102 trainees along with local and international experts and lecturers.

The training course is a collaborative program between ULIS-VNU and Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), China. The curriculum was designed and directly taught by leading experts from ULIS-VNU, the Foreign Trade University (FTU), and two prestigious experts from BLCU: Prof. Dr. Yang Yuling and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jin Haiyue.

Spanning 10 days, the course not only updated modern teaching methodologies but also helped teachers enhance their capacity in digital lesson design and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and educational technology in teaching Chinese. Consequently, the course contributes to standardizing the quality of the teaching staff, meeting the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program and the trend of digital transformation in education. This is not only a professional development activity but also a bridge for sustainable educational cooperation between Vietnam and China, contributing to building a high-quality community of Chinese language teachers to meet the increasing learning demand and the trend of bilingual education in the new era.

Attending the ceremony, representing ULIS-VNU were Dr. Hoa Ngoc Son and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh – Vice Presidents; Dr. Tran Thi Hoang Anh – Deputy Director of the Office of Research and Partnerships, along with representatives of various departments. International guests included Prof. Tian Xin from BLCU. Notably, the ceremony was honored to welcome Education Counselor La Dieu Quang and Secretary Vuong Dinh Quan from the Embassy of China.

At the beginning of the program, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Anh from ULIS expressed her gratitude to BLCU for their dedicated support in the successful implementation of the training course at ULIS-VNU and congratulated all 102 trainees on completing the course.

Before the official closing ceremony, trainee groups presented their final projects and delivered model teaching lessons.

Representing the Governing Board of ULIS-VNU, Vice President Ha Le Kim Anh and Vice President Hoa Ngoc Son sent their congratulations and praised all lecturers and trainees for their hard work and seriousness in completing the 2026 Chinese Language Teacher Training Course. The Vice President expressed her belief that the knowledge accumulated during this course would become a solid foundation for the teachers to continue their professional development and apply it effectively in their teaching practice.

Following the speeches, representatives from both institutions presented flowers and certificates of completion to the 102 trainees.

The closing ceremony concluded successfully, marking the end of a meaningful academic exchange journey for the participants of the 2026 Chinese language teacher training course.
