Connection Day at Hoa Lac 2026: Spreading the Spirit of Young Soldiers among QH2025 Students
On April 14, 2026, at Hoa Lac, the VNU University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS), in collaboration with the National Defense and Security Education Center and the Center for Physical Education and Sports, organized the Connection Day 2026 for QH2025 cohort students. The program was a meaningful activity aimed at strengthening bonds, promoting unity, and creating a comprehensive training environment for students.

Attending the program were representatives of the leadership of the VNU University of Languages and International Studies, the National Defense and Security Education Center, and the Center for Physical Education and Sports, along with a large number of staff members, lecturers from the three units, and all QH2025 students currently studying at Hoa Lac.
More than 100 staff members and 18 student companies participated in the program.

In his opening remarks, Party Secretary Do Tuan Minh emphasized the significance of Connection Day 2026 in building a comprehensive training environment for students, especially QH2025 students studying at Hoa Lac. He affirmed that, alongside equipping students with academic knowledge, the University always prioritizes the development of physical fitness, skills, and collective spirit through practical experiential activities. The Connection Day is not only an opportunity for exchange and connection among students and units but also contributes to spreading discipline, training spirit, and individual responsibility in a unique learning environment. At the same time, Dr. Do Tuan Minh acknowledged and praised the close coordination among units in organizing the event, thereby creating a meaningful, practical, and educationally valuable program for ULIS students.

The opening ceremony took place in a formal yet vibrant atmosphere. Notably, the marching performance by student companies stood out as a highlight. Their synchronized steps and disciplined demeanor clearly demonstrated the sense of discipline, confidence, and maturity of ULIS students after a period of study and training.
Following the ceremony, mass performances and collective activities brought a youthful and dynamic atmosphere, helping to connect students from different faculties and units.
In particular, the “Healthy Youth” running competition attracted a large number of staff, lecturers, and students, spreading the spirit of physical training and striving toward the title of “Five-Good Student.” In addition, friendly football matches between teams of staff and students from the three units created exciting moments, promoting sportsmanship, solidarity, and interaction among participants.
A highlight of the event was the Gala “Talented ULIS Soldiers,” featuring impressive performances by students and teachers. Carefully staged and emotionally rich, the performances revolved around themes of soldiers, love for the homeland, and friendship, leaving a lasting impression.
Within the program, an award ceremony was also held to recognize the efforts and achievements of collectives and individuals in competitions and teambuilding activities. This was an opportunity to honor determination, creativity, and effective collaboration among the participating units
The atmosphere became even more vibrant with a campfire and musical exchange, bringing the day to a memorable close.
Connection Day 2026 was not only a meaningful playground but also a memorable milestone in the learning journey of QH2025 students at Hoa Lac. Through a series of diverse activities, the program contributed to building a dynamic and cohesive educational environment while fostering responsibility, training spirit, and the aspiration to contribute among students of the VNU University of Languages and International Studies.
