Visit and Cooperation Agreement Signing with Beijing International Studies University 2, China
On April 13, 2026, a delegation from ULIS – VNU University of Languages and International Studies led by Vice President Hoa Ngọc Sơn visited, held discussions, and signed a cooperation agreement with Beijing International Studies University 2.

As part of the program, the delegation visited the university’s traditional exhibition room and listened to students majoring in Vietnamese introduce the history and development of Beijing International Studies University 2 in Vietnamese. This activity not only demonstrated the high quality of Vietnamese language training at the university, but also created a meaningful and friendly atmosphere for academic exchange between the two sides.

The delegation also had a meeting and exchange session with students majoring in Vietnamese, discussing study experiences, research activities, and future cooperation opportunities.
The meeting between the leaders of the two universities took place in an open and friendly atmosphere, with representatives from different academic units attending. During the discussion, both sides talked about several important areas of cooperation.

At the meeting, the two universities agreed on three main areas of cooperation. First, they will strengthen student exchange programs in Vietnamese and Chinese language studies by increasing both the duration and number of exchange students. Second, they will cooperate in scientific research, including sharing experiences in digital education and artificial intelligence, conducting joint research in translation and interpretation, co-authoring academic publications, and inviting experts to participate in academic seminars. Third, both sides discussed plans to establish a Vietnamese Language and Culture Center at Beijing International Studies University 2.
The highlight of the visit was the signing ceremony for an additional agreement to the Memorandum of Understanding on student exchange between the two universities. This marked a new stage in the cooperative relationship between ULIS and Beijing International Studies University 2.

Beijing International Studies University 2 was established in 1964 under the proposal of former Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai and was originally under the management of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The university’s original mission was to train professionals in translation and interpretation. Later, it expanded its academic programs to include economics, commerce, and tourism. Today, the university operates under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and has become a respected multidisciplinary institution.

This visit and working session contributed to strengthening and expanding the cooperative relationship between the two universities while creating more opportunities for study, exchange, and professional development for ULIS students and lecturers in the context of increasing international integration
