Final Round of the 5th Francophone Youth Tour Guide Competition “Aimer pour guider”

On May 16, 2026, at Vu Dinh Lien Hall – Faculty of French Language and Culture, University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS-VNU), the final round of the 5th Francophone Youth Tour Guide Competition “Aimer Pour Guider” concluded with great success.

The final round of the 5th Francophone Young Tour Guide Competition “Aimer Pour Guider” was held under the theme “Youth and Sustainable Tourism.” The competition aimed to promote local landscapes, culture, and cuisine while emphasizing the role of young people in preserving nature, protecting cultural heritage, and supporting sustainable tourism development.

The event attracted students from universities and high schools offering French-language programs in Hanoi and neighboring provinces. The final round welcomed representatives from international Francophone organizations, tourism enterprises, media agencies, and ULIS-VNU.

In her opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Hà Lê Kim Anh, Vice Rector of ULIS-VNU, highlighted the importance of youth engagement in sustainable tourism and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to linking academic training with practical experience and industry collaboration.

The finalists showcased culturally significant destinations through presentations in French and demonstrated their communication and professional skills during the Q&A session.

The competition results were as follows:

– First Prize: Mai Châu – Nguyễn Quốc Đạt, Nguyễn Huy Phương (Hanoi University)

– Second Prize: Tri Lễ Conical Hat Village – Nguyễn Tuấn Thành, Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Ánh (ULIS-VNU)

– Two Third Prizes: Vạn Phúc Silk Village – Nguyễn Đức Mạnh (ULIS-VNU); Sapa – Sustainable Tourism – Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Lan (ULIS-VNU)

– Two Consolation Prizes: Vạn Phúc Silk Village – Mai Phương Anh, Lê Thị Thu Huyền, Bùi Vân Ngọc (ULIS-VNU); Đường Lâm Ancient Village – Quách Lê Hà An, Phan Vũ Minh Hạnh, Nguyễn Thị Xuân Mai (ULIS-VNU)

– Most Popular Contestant Award: Thầy Pagoda – Đào Ngọc Linh, Nguyễn Lê Minh Hà, Nguyễn Thị Hoa (ULIS-VNU)

The event concluded successfully, with organizers, judges, and partners praising the contestants’ language proficiency, creativity, and commitment to sustainable tourism. The competition also highlighted the value of French as a tool for cultural promotion and future career development.
