On March 13^th, 2019, ULIS – VNU held the opening ceremony of the 3rd cohort and awarded the certificate for the first cohort on basic translation and interpretation course with the participation of nearly 30 students.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President Lam Quang Dong, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies Huynh Anh Tuan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies Cam Tu Tai, Dean of the Faculty of French Language & Culture Dinh Hong Van, Dean of the Faculty of German Language & Culture Le Hoai An, Director of the Center for Quality Assurance Nguyen Ninh Bac, lecturers and staff of the University.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Vice President Lam Quang Dong emphasized that the course on basic translation and interpretation was a program that the University paid much attention to. The Vice President also expressed his pleasure to be one of the lecturers and witnessed the development of the students of the first cohort and wished the students of the 3rd cohort would gain great achievements when participating in the course.

After that, the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies Huynh Anh Tuan announced the decision of matriculation of the students of the 3rd cohort and announced the decision to recognize and certify the students of 1^st cohort.

Also, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hung Tien shared his sincere thoughts on translating professions and expressed his wish that the students would continue to stick with the University in future activities.

Delivering her speech at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, represented the 1st cohort, extended her deep thanks to the lecturers and staff of the University, who directly delivered classes and who supported them throughout.

Immediately after the ceremony, the students of the 3rd cohort officially participated in the first class of the course.
