International conference: “Teaching and Researching French and Francophone Culture”
On August 26th, 2022, ULIS-VNU cooperated with International Francophone Organization (OIF), AUF and France Embassy in Vietnam to organize an international conference “Teaching and Researching French and Francophone Culture”. This conference was held as part of the activities to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Faculty of French Language and Culture as well as a pre- UNC2023 event.
Delivered his speech at the conference, Vice President Lam Quang Dong said the conference was a good opportunity for home and overseas experts and linguists in teaching methodology, teachers, lecturers and students to exchange methods and practical experience in teaching French, the role of French culture in studying and teaching the language, thereby improvising the methods to better fit Vietnam society and education.
The conference was hosted online and offline and discussed 5 main topics: Teaching French, French literature, Francophone community culture, Language studies and Translation.
With the participation of many lecturers and researchers from 9 countries in the region and around the world, the Conference became a place where lecturers and scientists exchange and share experience, ideas, methods, research results, as while creating a large network of researchers in French language, French language teaching and Francophone cultures.
At the conference, 3 papers were presented at the plenary session and 61 papers were presented at the parallel session.
The international conference “Teaching and Researching French and Francophone Culture” ended successfully. Activities in the runup to the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of French Language and Culture continued to be held on August 27th and 28th.
