Foreign Language Specialized School (FLSS) signed the cooperation agreement with Taipei Jingmei Girls’ High School

On July, 12th, 2017, FLSS (University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi) organized the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement with Jingmei Girls’ High School in Taipei (Taipei, Taiwan).
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Van – FLSS’s Principal, Dr. Lai Thi Phuong Thao – FLSS’s Vice Principal, teachers, and student representatives. From the side of Jingmei Girls’ High School, Ms. Huang Yunjin – The Principal, Mr. Jiang Xinliang – Head of Administration Department, teachers, and student representatives attended the ceremony. Particularly, Mr. Li Ming – Education Counselor, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Hanoi attended the ceremony.

Jingmei Girls’ High School was established in 1962 with the perspective of educating women in the new century. It has become famous for its educational orientation which emphasizes the education of fundamental values such as integrity, civil responsibility, and self-confidence. Jingmei Girls’ High School has 67 classes with approximately 3,000 students each year and nearly 40,000 graduated students.
FLSS and Taipei Jingmei Girls’ High School began to cooperate from January 2017. Realizing there are many similarities, especially in the viewpoint of training well-rounded students to become global citizens, two schools agreed to sign a cooperation contract after 6 months of active discussion.
Addressing in the meeting, Principal Nguyen Thanh Van asserted that the signing ceremony today marked a milestone in the cooperation relationship between FLSS and Taipei Jingmei Girls’ High School. He added that with the number of students studying Chinese now, the two schools will have more opportunities to cooperate in the future. The Principal hoped that the two schools would implement practical cooperation activities in the upcoming time.
Ms. Huang Yunjin also said that she highly appreciated the quality of training, reputation and prospects of cooperation with FLSS. The headmaster of Taipei Jingmei Girls’ High School believed that the two sides would have more effective cooperation activities in the future.

The headmasters of Taipei Jingmei Girls’ High School and Foreign Language Specialized School signed the memorandum of cooperation.
Also at the ceremony, the two sides discussed the possibilities of cooperation such as student exchanges, teacher exchanges, scholarships, seminars, experience exchanges… It is expected that the two schools will organize a trip to Taipei for students of FLSS in October 2017.
