The program in Teaching Vietnamese as a Foreign Language (under the major of Vietnamese Language and Culture) not only enables learners to with a systematic and academic understanding of the Vietnamese language and culture, but also develops the ability to teach Vietnamese in a specialized and scientific way. In particular, the learners will have a proficient Vietnamese ability to use in teaching and academic enviroments.

• Systematically practice and study the Vietnamese language and culture
• Experience Vietnamese culture through practical learning sessions
• 100% of lecturers hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree with over 10 years of experience
• Gain hands-on teaching experience in Vietnamese through short-term Vietnamese language classes at the university
• Opportunities to interact and connect with Vietnamese students in the classroom
• Class size: 25 students per class
• 100% of classrooms are equipped with air conditioning and projectors; the entire campus has free Wi-Fi
• Become a member of the ULIS VIETNAMESE Club and explore over 30 other student clubs at the university

1. Understand and use Vietnamese effectively in teaching and communication.
2. Compare and contrast Vietnamese language and culture with those of other countries.
3. Apply knowledge of educational science, linguistics, and culture in professional practice.
4. Design and organize appropriate teaching and learning activities.
5. Utilize soft skills, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
6. Use technology and digital tools effectively in learning and work.

Use Vietnamese equivalent to level 5 in the 6-level Vietnamese language Proficiency Framework for foreign learners.
