University of Languages and International Studies welcomes the official external evaluation delegation for accredited academic programs in 2025

From October 21 to 23, 2025, the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vinh University (CEQA – VU) coordinated with the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) to organize the official external evaluation for the undergraduate program in English Language and the master’s programs in English Language, Chinese Language, and Theory and Methodology of Teaching Chinese

Representing the leadership of CEQA – VU were Dr. Nguyen Dinh Huy, Deputy Director of the Center and Secretary of the External Evaluation delegation. The External evaluation delegation was led by Prof. Dang Ung Van, People’s Teacher and Doctor of Science, along with other team members. From ULIS, participants included the university’s leadership board, members of the self-evaluation council, leaders of the academic units under evaluation, quality assurance representatives, and lecturers and students from the evaluated programs.

At the opening session, Dr. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang – an evaluator from CEQA – VU – announced the Decision on the establishment of the External Evaluation Team for the four academic programs.

During the opening remarks, Vice President Lam Quang Dong expressed gratitude to CEQA – VU and the external experts for undertaking the evaluation process at the university. He also provided an overview of the self-assessment process and the four academic programs under review.

Also during the opening session, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Huy – Deputy Director of CEQA – VU – highly appreciated ULIS’s efforts in ensuring educational quality and in conducting external evaluations for the English Language undergraduate program and the master’s programs in English Language, Chinese Language, and Theory and Methodology of Teaching Chinese.

Following the opening ceremony, the external evaluation experts continued with activities such as reviewing supporting documents, conducting interviews, collecting feedback from stakeholders, and visiting and inspecting ULIS’s facilities that serve the evaluated programs, to provide assessments of how well the programs meet the quality standards.

At the closing session on October 23, 2025, the evaluation team will present a report summarizing the results of the assessment.

After the external evaluation process, representatives from CEQA – VU, the evaluation experts, and ULIS will sign the minutes confirming the completion of the official evaluation.
