The General Administration Office has the function of advising and assisting the President on the general administration of the University.

  • Administrative, clerical and archival work
    • Guiding and organizing, checking and supervising the implementation of regulations on administrative management, clerical and archival work according to the regulations of the State and the University. Implementing formal and technical appraisals of the University’s documents before submitting to the President for signing.
    • Implementing administrative reforms and applying information technology to office work.
    • Liaise with other units to handle administrative procedures for cadres through the one-stop mechanism.
    • Managing and organizing the reception, handling and sending of dispatches and documents. Organizing the management and storing confidential documents in accordance with the regulations of the State, VNU and the University.
    • Managing the types of stamps of the University (except for some certain stamps) and using the stamps according to the State’s regulations.
    • Authenticating copies from the originals of documents, diplomas and certificates issued by the University; making copies of documents related to the University; authenticating the signatures of officials under the management of the University to handle lawful jobs according to current regulations.
    • Guiding and urging other departments of the University to implement relevant work.
  • Planning, synthesis and statistics work
    • Developing a summary report and planning report and key tasks of school years.
    • Synthesize and develop the working programs of the University. Monitor and urge the implementation of the University’s working programs and plans, conclusions and directions of the President. Prepare plans, contents, reports, related documents, material and technical conditions and other conditions in the field of work assigned to serve the working programs of the President with the units, cadres, civil servants, employees, students in the University and with guests outside the University.
    • Developing a report on periodic activities of the University. Gathering the results of activities, proposals and recommendations of solutions and measures of implementation of other departments of the University.
    • Implementing statistical work in accordance with the regulations of the State, VNU and the University.
  • Secretary work
    • Preparing reports for the President.
    • Planning programs and working schedules of the Governing Board; coordinating with departments to prepare contents, draft notices and conclusions of meetings chaired by the Governing Board.
  • Liaise and coordinate with other units in the University to organize events
  • Liaise with other units, domestic agencies and organizations to handle foreign affairs
  • Liaise and coordinate with other units in the University to implement the working programs and plans
  • Service and facilities management work
    • Performing the reception work of the University.
    • Organizing meetings and conferences on response to requests of the Governing Board.
    • Managing facilities, working conditions of the Governing Board area, guest rooms, meeting rooms, conference rooms at Block A1.
    • Coordinating with the Inspection and Legal Affairs Office to arrange meetings between general public with the President according to the regulations of the State, VNU and the University.
    • Managing communications and news.
    • Managing vehicle to serve the activities of the University.
    • Printing and copying documents to serve the University’s activities in accordance with the President’s regulations.
  • Some other main tasks
    • Coordinating with other departments to organize events.
    • Implementing foreign affairs with domestic departments, agencies and organizations.
    • Coordinating with other departments in the University to proceed programs and plans.
    • Director of the Office is authorized to sign a number of prescribed documents.
  • Performing other tasks assigned by the President.

  • 2006: Received the Third Class Labor Medal.
  • 2010: Received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
  • 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011: Received Certificates of Merit from Vietnam Education Union.
  • 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012: Received Certificates of Merit from the President of VNU Trade Union.
  • 2010, 2015, 2017: Received Certificates of Merit fromULIS President.
  • 2018: Received a Certificate of Merit from the President of VNU.
