On August 24, 2025, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) officially welcomed freshmen of cohort QH.2025.F1. Alongside completing enrollment procedures, the new students of intake K59 also had the chance to experience the ULIS Tour and join various exciting activities.

To ensure a smooth process, the university arranged enrollment across different venues. Specifically, students of the Faculty of English Language and Culture, Faculty of Arabic Language and Culture, Faculty of French Language and Culture, and Faculty of German Language and Culture completed registration at the French Department Building; students of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, and Vietnamese & Southeast Asian Language and Culture enrolled at Lecture Hall A2; while the Faculty of International Education welcomed newcomers at Sunwah Hall.

The enrollment atmosphere was lively from early morning. Before the freshmen’s arrival, university leaders, staff, lecturers, and volunteers had already gathered to prepare, provide support, and answer questions from the K59 students. With the assistance of faculty members, staff, student ambassadors, and volunteers, the enrollment process proceeded smoothly and in good order. Each student also received academic guidance and a welcome gift set. Excitement and joy were clearly reflected on the faces of both students and parents as they set foot on the ULIS campus for the first time.

Sharing her feelings, a freshman from the Faculty of Vietnamese Language and Culture expressed: “ULIS has always been my first choice, so when I found out I was admitted, I was overjoyed. This is a valuable opportunity and a stepping stone for my future. Being part of the very first cohort of the Vietnamese Language and Culture program (Teaching Vietnamese as a Foreign Language), I feel proud and determined to study hard.”

A parent also shared her heartfelt emotions as her daughter officially became a ULIS student: “I am deeply moved to see my daughter admitted to such a prestigious institution with leading training quality in the field of languages in Vietnam. As a mother, I feel proud and happy. I hope this will be a place where she creates beautiful memories of her youth and gains valuable experiences on her journey to pursue her dreams.”

Guided by volunteers, freshmen and parents toured key spots on campus and engaged in many enjoyable activities, such as trying on traditional costumes, taking photos at the photobooth, and visiting creative booths. The enrollment day concluded successfully, leaving lasting impressions on both students and their families. It marked the beginning of a bright four-year journey at ULIS.

Following enrollment, K59 freshmen will continue with orientation week, health check-ups, course registration, and officially begin classes on September 3, 2025.
