Closing ceremony of the 11th Vietnamese Language Course for Foreign Police and security Officers

On December 10th, 2018, the ULIS-VNU held a closing ceremony and awarded certificates of completion of 11th the Vietnamese language and culture training course for foreign police and security officers.

The ceremony was attended by delegates from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the Cambodian Embassy, the Embassy of Japan, Vice President Lam Quang Dong, Head of the Cooperation and Development Do Minh Hoang, Dean of the Faculty of Language education & Professional Development Hoa Ngoc Son, administrators, teachers, and especially representatives of 12 students from Laos, Cambodia, Japan, and Korea.

Implementing the foreign policy of the Party and State of Vietnam, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam has continuously set up, expanded and promoted cooperative relations with law enforcement agencies, security agencies in the world. Since 2008, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam has successfully organized 11 Vietnamese courses with the participation of roughly 70 police and security officers, and intelligence agencies.

What is the aim of the course?

The aim of this course is not only to improve Vietnamese language skills but also provide an opportunity for students to practice their language skills and learn more about the country, people and culture of Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Major General Vu Ngoc Lan said that the Vietnamese language training program in Vietnam was part of the policy of the Ministry of Public Security to expand cooperation, friendship and efficiency with law enforcement agencies in the world.

On behalf of ULIS, Vice President Lam Quang Dong expressed his sincere thanks to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for entrusting the responsibility of fostering Vietnamese language for foreign officials. He also recognized the learning efforts of the trainees and hoped that the trainees would continue their efforts to improve their Vietnamese language when they had returned home for work.

Also, at the ceremony, Major General Vu Quang Lan and Vice President Lam Quang Dong presented the certificates of completion of the course to the students.
