Connecting teaching with innovation and entrepreneurship at non-economic universities

On July 23rd, 2022, ULIS-VNU in collaboration with the Project Office “Supporting the National Innovation Startup Ecosystem until 2025” (Project Office 844, Ministry of Science and Technology) held a conference to connect teaching with innovation and entrepreneurship activities at non-economic universities.

The conference is an activity within the framework of the task “Improving specialized capacity for some objects in the ecosystem” chaired by ULIS-VNU under the Project “Supporting the national innovation startup ecosystem until 2025” (Project 844).

Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony, President Do Tuan Minh said: “This activity not only improves the capacity for innovation and entrepreneurship for lecturers inside and outside the school, but also contributes to promoting and improving the quality of innovation and entrepreneurship activities among students, building a network of connections with businesses, employers, alumni, etc.

At the conference, Dr. Dao Thi Dieu Linh presented a report summarizing the implementation of the task: “Improving specialized capacity for some objects in the ecosystem” under the Project “Supporting the national innovation startup ecosystem” – Project 844 at ULIS.

Mr. Pham Dung Nam – Director of Project 844 Office hoped that ULIS would transfer training materials and programs to other universities and colleges, especially language, social science and humanity schools, contributing to the development of the national innovation startup ecosystem.

Addressing the conference, Director of Science and Technology Department-VNU Vu Van Tich affirmed that promoting innovation activities for a non-technical, technological and economic university was very important because it conveyed significant meaning for society.

After the speeches, presentations and sharing of experts and students were delivered.

Closing the conference program was an exchange and discussion chaired by Vice President Ha Le Kim Anh. The exchange also received active participation and contributions from guests, teachers and students of the University.
