1.Academic background

Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam is now the Dean of Faculty of Linguistics and Cultures of English speaking countries, VNU – ULIS. Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam has been working as a lecturer of English and English Linguistics at VNU-ULIS since 2004. Having earned degrees in Teaching English as a foreign language and English linguistics, she teaches quite many courses at undergraduate level, including English Semantics, Phonetics and English Phonology, English Grammar, Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis, Functional Grammar and World English. At graduate levels, she teaches Semantics and World English to graduate students of English Linguistics and English Teaching Methodology programs. With her PhD dissertation in Systemic Functional Linguistics, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam is most interested in research projects related to applying functional approach in linguistic studies and language teaching.
