Opening Ceremony for the Postgraduate Training Program of Cohort QH2025.2 and the Awarding of Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in the first phase of 2026
On January 30, 2026, at Nguyen Van Dao Hall, the University of Languages and International Studies – Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi, solemnly organized the Opening Ceremony for the Postgraduate Training Program of Cohort QH2025.2 and the Awarding of Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in the first phase of 2026. The celebration is an important milestone which recognizes the academic achievements of learners and researchers as well as opens the new journey of study and research for the new postgraduates of the university.

Attending the ceremony, from ULIS were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh– Vice President of the University, representatives of leadership units, and the lecturers who take part in teaching the programs. Additionally, the ceremony was joined by a large number of newly admitted graduate and doctoral students for the second phase of 2025, newly recognized Master’s and Doctoral graduates who received their degrees in the first phase of 2026 as well as their families and loved ones.


The program began with several performances by the new Master’s graduates, contributing to the formal and warm atmosphere.



Continuing the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong – Vice Head of the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, announced the official Decisions recognizing successful candidates who were admitted to the the Master’s and Doctoral’s Training Program of Cohort QH2025.2 and the Decisions recognizing the graduation of Master’s and Doctoral’s degrees for the first phase of 2026.

Representing the new postgraduates and researchers of Cohort QH2025.2, Phan Thi Toan delivered an emotional speech. She shared that returning to the academic journey was a challenging decision, requiring the balance between working, family and scientific research. She emphasized that postgraduate is not only about obtaining a degree but also about fostering knowledge, practicing independent and critical thinking and overcoming self’s limitations. At the end of the speech, Phan Thi Toan expressed her deep gratitude to the lecturers and the university and pledged to study with integrity in order to contribute great value to the community and society.

On behalf of the three new Doctors and 158 new Masters who received degrees this time, Master Pham Khanh Linh gave a sincere thanks to the university, lecturers, family and friends who always accompanied, encouraged and supported the learners through the difficulties and pressure during the time of studying and researching. Through the speech, she also gave inspiration to new students, which encouraged their persistence, self-compassion and confidence once they stepped into a new knowledge journey in the future.

Representing all postgraduates who finished the program in the first phase of 2026, the new Master Pham Khanh Linh presented a beautiful bouquet to the university’s representatives as a way to show deep appreciation for the university’s dedicated contributions to postgraduate education.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Le Kim Anh congratulated the new postgraduates on their new beginnings in the academic journey and praised their efforts as well as the achievements of the new Masters and Doctors. She expressed her hope that the learners will continue with their resilience in the academy, nurture a spirit to innovate, apply knowledge into practice and contribute greatly to the community, to the educational career and the sustainable development of the country. Based on the positive developments of the postgraduate education during the period of 2020 – 2025, the university expects that the spirit of “connection”, “commitment” and “sharing” will become the inspiration for each learner to improve, create and spread humanitarian and academic values to the society.

The ceremony ended in a formal and warm atmosphere with the degree awarding to the new Masters and Doctors in Phase 1 of 2026, followed by taking photos to capture meaningful and memorable moments in the academic journey of the students.
