On September 10, 2025, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS-VNU) officially launched the Vietnamese Exchange Training Course for students from Guangxi Nationalities University, China for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Attendees at the opening ceremony included Dr. Lưu Mạnh Kiên, Deputy Head of the Office of Science, Technology & International Cooperation; Dr. Tran Huu Tri, Head of the Department of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Languages & Cultures; and ten exchange students from Guangxi Nationalities University.

In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Tran Huu Tri  extended warm greetings to the Chinese students, expressing his hope that through this program they will gain valuable experiences in both Vietnamese language and culture. He encouraged the students to maintain enthusiasm and cooperate closely with ULIS faculty, with a view to achieving excellent outcomes during their time living and studying in Vietnam.

Dr. Luu Manh Kien  introduced detailed information pertaining to the upcoming exchange term, affirming that the course will provide a beneficial opportunity to enhance language proficiency and deepen understanding of Vietnamese culture. He also expressed his expectation that the students will dedicate themselves to their studies and personal development, contributing to the success of the program.

Representing the ten students from Guangxi Nationalities University, student Thanh Tu Nghi pledged to strive for excellence in their Vietnamese studies, and to immerse themselves in learning about the language and culture of Vietnam. In observance of the Chinese Teachers’ Day (September 10, 2025), he also extended wishes for health and success to all faculty members at ULIS, especially those in the Department of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian Languages & Cultures.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the exchange students participated in a commemorative photo session and completed necessary enrollment procedures.

The Vietnamese language exchange training course for Guangxi Nationalities University students, for the academic year 2025-2026, has now officially begun, promising a semester rich in achievement, cultural exchange, and memorable experiences at ULIS-VNU.
