Opening of the Korean Language Teacher Training Program in Vietnam in 2024
On September 28th, 2024, ULIS-VNU organized the opening ceremony of the Korean Language Teacher Training Program in Vietnam in 2024. The course is jointly organized by the School and the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City (a unit under the Korean Ministry of Education in Vietnam).
Delivering her speech at the ceremony, Tran Thi Huong, Head of the Korean Language and Culture Faculty, affirmed that the 4th Korean Language Training Program for Vietnamese Teachers was developed with great dedication by ULIS – VNU and has received special attention from the Korean Ministry of Education.
Mr. Kil Ho Jin, Director of the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City, also expressed his hope that the training course would be beneficial for the teaching activities of future educators.
On behalf of the participants, trainee Lương Huyền Trang stated that this course is very essential for young teachers. The course also presents a significant opportunity for participants to enhance their professional knowledge, develop teaching skills, and expand their network of colleagues within the community of Korean language teachers in Vietnam.
The Korean language teacher training program in Vietnam includes the Korean language teacher training course and the Secondary School teacher pedagogical certificate course. In particular, the Korean language teacher training course will be conducted within 105 hours, at ULIS – VNU, Hanoi with the participation of leading teachers in the field of Korean language teaching methods and Korean language from Korea and Vietnam. According to the 2024 plan, after completing the course, students will be granted a foreign language pedagogical certificate (issued by ULIS) and a Korean language teaching certificate (issued by the University of Foreign Languages and the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City).
