On November 28^th, 2023, ULIS-VNU welcomed the Polish Embassy to hand over a book corner and organized a seminar “Language dialogue: Vietnamese translators and Polish literature”. The event attracted a large participation of interested students.

At the beginning of the event, Ms. Justyna Pabian – the Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires expressed her joy at seeing so many ULIS students and Polish friends present at the event and expressed her deep thanks to ULIS for organizing this event.

Delivering his speech at the event, Vice President Lam Quang Dong expressed his joy at welcoming the Polish delegation and interested students today and extended his thanks to the Embassy for presenting a number of very useful books on world literature to ULIS.

Following the program was the seminar “Language dialogue: Vietnamese translators and Polish literature” with the participation of three famous Polish translators, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung, translator Nguyen Thi Thanh Thu, Professor Nguyen Tri Thuat.

The translators took turns sharing the experiences and challenges they encountered when translating Vietnamese to Polish and vice versa. The words shared were extremely practical and contained extremely profound experiences.
