At the invitation of Mr. Yoon Sung, Chairman of YES Group and Mr. Kim Sang Cheol, Chairman of Hancom Group, ULIS delegation visited and worked at YES Group and Hancom Group, Republic of Korea from May 18^th to 22^nd, 2022.

During their working time in the Republic of Korea, the University’s delegation had a meeting with leaders of YES Group on May 18^th at the group’s headquarter to discuss opportunities for cooperation in development of Korean teaching and organization of Korean language proficiency tests for Vietnamese students.

On the second working day, the delegation of ULIS, VNU worked with Hancom group. At the meeting, the two sides agreed to cooperate in and learn about the application of artificial intelligence, 3D virtual world integration network (Metaverse) in building a model of smart classrooms, Korean learning applications on mobile phones and on computers.

On the same day, the delegation of ULIS, VNU also had a meeting with Mr. Kim Sang Cheol – Chairman of Hancom Group. At the meeting, the chairman of Hancom Group expressed his belief in the success of the project, as while agreeing to grant 50 scholarships to students of ULIS, VNU.

Next, President Do Tuan Minh signed a memorandum of understanding with leaders of Hancom Group and YES Group to formalize the plan and roadmap for cooperation in the near future in building Genie-K, the Korean language learning application and the method of organizing foreign language proficiency tests, especially the K-IBT Korean language proficiency test first.

On May 21^st, 2022, leaders of the three sides continued the discussions, agreed on how to coordinate and implement the memorandum of understanding, as while exchanging and discussing specific contents, facilities and techniques to implement the project in the Republic of Korea and Vietnam.
